The programs-their schedules, materials and expectations-are customized as per the
needs of our attendees.
In general, each weekday is spent on:
4 hours of directed study sessions
-Sikh Theology, Sikh History, Punjabi, Contemporary Issues, Geography, Kirtan, Computers,
Art and Special Projects.
2 1/2 hours of sports and aerobics
1 1/2 hours social exchange & entertainment activities each evening
1 hour of outside of class study
1/2 hour of physical appearance seminars
1 1/2 hours of nitnem abhyaas
An Olympiad of various sporting and intellectual activities shall run amongst the
various teams through the duration of the Retreat.
The program for our older campers varies dramatically from that for younger campers.
While maintaining the same mission and high level of excellence, this program revolves
around the issues and needs of slightly older Sikh youth growing up in America. Higher
emphasis is placed on projects and team oriented leraning, which bring forth creativity
and peer support.
We have designed our unique and innovative program with the specific needs of this
special group of young Sikhs in mind.
