Location

The Lohgarh Retreat is located in the scenic mountains of south-central Pennsylvania, just south of Chambersburg, PA. It is conveniently located to every major Sikh population center in the northeastern United States and is easily accessible by major interstate highways. Also, it is not far from three major international airports.

The Retreat is located three miles off Interstate 81, a major north-south highway. It is a close driving distance from Washington, DC and Baltimore, MD, just 90 miles away. It is 150 miles from Philadelphia and Pittsburgh, and just 250 miles from New York City. Boston, Northern New York, central Ohio, Virginia and North Carolina are also within a fairly comfortable driving distance. Directions will be mailed to attendees after their registration information has been received. Guests wishing to visit the property, and in need of directions should contact our office at 1-800-GUR-SEVA.

Attendees wishing to attend the Retreat from other parts of the country should make arrangements to travel to Washington, DC or Baltimore by train, plane or bus. Transportation from these places to the Retreat will be arranged by the Retreat staff if arrangements are made in advance.

The central location of this facility allows interaction between young Sikhs from up and down the eastern United States to take place, and has already proven to create extremely supportive friendships and networks among our previous campers where no such friendships had before existed.
